Townsville - Here we come!

On the main road into town. 

R has been asked to fill in for 3 weeks or so in Townsville. We leave next Wednesday and suddenly life has got very busy.  Also full of lists. List of things to do, things to take, things to buy.  Perhaps too many things! I hauled the suitcases downstairs and have mine in the lounge and am starting to fill it with tools of craft.  Otherwise what will I be doing all day? I must have something for my fingers to be working on.

So far, I have put in all my photos from my last 3 years bike rides and hope to get all of those into an album while I am away.

We climed over some rocks and down a track to see Arthur Bay.

Also some wool to knit some crazy foot warmer socks for Emma as I promised and then some more wool to crochet into squares or circles maybe. And a shawl I have on the needles at the moment.

Last time we were in Townsville the weather was beautiful and I hope we get the chance to do some sightseeing while we are there.

Here are some photos from our last trip when we climbed Castle Hill and looked out at the city of Townsville.  Then another day we caught the ferry over to Magnetic Island for a magic day out. I am looking forward to going back and exploring a bit more.

So far we have our airfares booked, but still don't know where we will be staying.  Places are pretty full up there as it will be school holidays.
