It is a Green Time of Year

Things are going green around here.

We have finally had some rain and the difference is amazing.

Where once we had dead brown crispy stalks, we now have grass coming through. Here is a before photo.

Here is Chevy exploring in our yard.
Now I will post some green photos to show you what is happening.  I have little bits of garden here and there about the place.  Mum gave me some rhubarb seedlings so I popped them in with some mushroom compost, but also put in some tomato and lettuce seedlings so they wouldn't be lonely.

Here is a later photo showing how well all the plants are growing.

Then we have a raised garden and a herb garden created on the lawn in front of the ramp. Still pretty dry when this photo was taken.

This pot below is one Craig gave me and I have put alyssum, nasturtium and lettuce around it.

Look at it now. Very pretty.

Here is a wee froggy visitor who arrived today. Perhaps he is the one from the water tanks come to have a look at us.  He is sitting on top of the clothesline on the deck.

The silver beet, lettuces, capsicums and beans are all doing well too.

And just look at how well these tomatoes are doing!

While down in the original garden beds I have a little butternut pumpkin growing. It is less than 2 inches long yet.

Well. That's all for now.  It takes ages to get all the photos loaded and my poor laptop is on its last legs.  I will come back soon with some more photos of green things as I have lots more seeds planted out in the potting shed.

Bye for now.  Lesley
