Visitors from Christchurch
A couple of weeks ago, in fact, the day spring arrived in Gayndah, we had Mum and Dad & Chris & Sue to visit. We had a lovely bbq lunch and some kookaburras flew in for a visit.
Tales of my travels, interspersed with snippets of daily life and funny things that occur when I am nearby.

Beaching
Here are a few photos from our recent trip to Bargara Beach with Kez.
There is always lots to look at on the beach and we don't get there very often as we live over 200 km away. It is nice to have these photos to look back on.
I will be back soon and hopefully will have a bit more to say. I have got out of the way of putting my thoughts into the laptop.

We had a fun walk along the beach. |
Can you see the kingfisher on the rock? I tried to creep closer but just after I took this shot he flew away! |
These seagulls were too light to make tracks on the wet sand. Someone had been drawing in the sand though. There were lots of people about just walking, playing and relaxing like us. |
I was fascinated with the lovely braided patterns made by the water on the sand. |
Small crabs had been very busy pushing these little balls of sand out as they burrowed down out of the sun. |

Beach at Sunrise
Hi. Me again.
I haven't been around for a while, but I pop in from time to time trying to upload a photo or two. But it doesn't seem to have been working.
But suddenly, when you least expect it, we have success. The photo above was taken at Bargara Beach, near Bundaberg QLD, very early one morning. We managed to get a couple of days off from the motel and headed for the beach for a break. We took Kezia with us and had a lovely apartment overlooking the beach. One morning we were watching a large pod of whales playing. It was a really good break, but not long enough.
I will try and get some more photos off my camer to show you. Keep watching out, because I will be back. I just have to go and prepare some meals right now.
